The SUnday FUnd is one of our Fellowship’s important social justice outreach programs. On specific Sundays the undesignated plate collections are given to worthy agencies and programs. Next year’s offerings will go to Sunday Fund organizations on 28 Sundays.
Thanks to everyone who nominated an organization this year for the SUnday FUnd. The nominated organizations each provide aid and sustenance to those in the community who are underserved and in need. This year we had 15 very worthy nominees. The committee selected four organizations that provide a diverse set of services and assist diverse populations.
We are pleased to announce the four organizations that will receive our SUnday FUnd support for 2025-2026:
- Bike Walk Indian River County: promotes safe bicycling and walking. They rehab and distribute bikes to children in needy families and to adults who are transportation challenged. Classes in bike safety and maintenance are provided.
- Team Success Enterprises, Inc: addresses, educates, coordinates, and provides relief to alleviate human suffering, eradicate homelessness and hunger. Their “Moving UP” program helps low-income people move into better housing and occasionally supplies furnishings and other essentials.
- Treasure Coast Girls Coalition: assists girls and young women, from economically challenged communities. They provide tutoring, mentoring, leadership retreats, technology training and culinary arts classes.
- Village Arts Vero Beach: promotes self-sufficiency skills and community integration for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through art making and marketing. They provide a home-like environment where creativity and self-expression are nurtured.
