Henhouse Prowlers to Perform “Gospel in Review”

Henhouse Prowlers to Perform “Gospel in Review” at UU Fellowship of Vero Beach

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach welcomes the Henhouse Prowlers on Sunday, October 12, at 10:00 a.m. The acclaimed bluegrass quartet will perform the Sunday service anthem, “Gospel in Review,” following their evening performance at the Lyric Theatre in historic downtown Stuart on Saturday, October 11.

Founded nearly two decades ago in Chicago, the Henhouse Prowlers—Ben Wright (vocals, banjo), Jon Goldfine (vocals, guitar), Chris Dollar (vocals, guitar), and Jake Howard (vocals, mandolin)—blend entertainment and education through their music. Their mission, as brand ambassadors for the universality of music, has taken them on tours across more than 25 countries through the U.S. State Department and their nonprofit, Bluegrass Ambassadors.

The Prowlers use traditional American music to connect cultures, sharing experiences from Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East through workshops, performances, and educational programs. Their latest album, Unravel (April 2025), showcases their versatility, blending modern Americana with classic bluegrass, while maintaining the four-part harmonies that have defined the group’s sound.

The public is invited to join the Sunday service and experience the Henhouse Prowlers’ unique musical storytelling firsthand. For those wishing to see the band’s Saturday evening performance at the Lyric Theatre, tickets are available at https://www.lyrictheatre.com/
