Mission Statement:
The UUFVB Membership Committee strives to invite, welcome, educate and encourage all newcomers to become part of our loving and diverse community.
Welcome visitors and newcomers! We look forward to meeting you and sharing with you our excitement for our liberal religious community. We hope you will attend a Sunday Service to become familiar with our Fellowship and meet its members at Coffee Hour following the service. Please make yourself known to the Welcome Table as you enter the building. We would like to welcome you and share a current newsletter and a name tag. If you want to just sit through a Sunday service to gain an impression first, that is also encouraged and welcomed.
Get Involved:
- UU 101 is a brief informational session for newcomers that is held the second Sunday of each month at 11:15 am in Rev. Tom’s office. This is open to visitors to our congregation and focuses on getting to know each other, as well as sharing information about the basics of Unitarian Universalism Theology.
- Journeys is a series of two, two-hour interactive sessions that introduce Unitarian Universalism as a lifelong journey, rather than a fixed set of beliefs. The sessions focus on participants’personal spiritual journeys, the history of both Unitarian Universalism and UUFVB, as well as the shared journey of our congregation.
- Consider our selection of small group ministry opportunities, classes and workshops that are intended to reinforce our spiritual connection within, among and beyond.
