The UUFVB Ministry is funded by generous members and friends contributions. Each spring, members and friends make a “pledge,” committing to the Fellowship how much money they will contribute to the coming fiscal year beginning July 1. Based on these “pledges,” the Fellowship plans its coming year budget for staff, programs, and facility maintenance.
Members make individual decisions about how much they will pledge, based on the role the Fellowship plays in their life, and their personal financial situation. During the year, members and friends may increase or decrease their pledge amount as personal circumstances change. When new members join, they are asked to make an initial pledge for the remainder of the fiscal year.
All the activities you see described on this website are funded by these collective pledge dollars. Our facilities are mortgage free, but we have operational expenses to keep our beautiful campus running smoothly. By working and contributing together, members and friends provide the resources which frame and enhance their UUFVB experience.
