Mission Statement

World Café

Save the date. Jan. 25, 2026, following coffee hour. We’ll meet for a couple of hours in Fellowship Hall for a congregation-wide World Café.

Subject: Our Mission Statement. Please plan on attending. We need the widest participation possible to discuss the possible changing of our mission statement.

While the current statement, “We, a caring liberal religious community, encourage spiritual growth and seek justice for all,” has served us for years, we had a close vote at last year’s Annual Meeting. Nearly half the congregation preferred something like “We strive for a healthy, peaceful world, focused on justice, love, service, and spiritual growth.”

What we’re looking for is a significant majority of the congregation.
