Healing has always had a relationship with the practice of religion, sometimes a very controversial one, at least seen from the outside of any particular religion. Many of us have probably seen, heard, or read too much of exorcisms, phony TV faith healers, refusals to save a child because doctrine forbids the medical intervention needed, etc. Is there, or should there be, any role for religion in matters of health, and should healing have any place in our practice of religion?
