After Jesus’s life, a religion about Jesus arose. However, there were many people reflecting on Jesus’s life and teaching at the time other than those who accepted the canonical teachings of this new Christianity. And while those people’s writings were considered heretical and destroyed or buried, some were found in 1945 in Nag Hammadi and give a different, perhaps more complete, view of early Christianity and Jesus’s life and teachings.
