The Racism Encounter book group meets weekly on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. in the Olympia Brown Room. The first session starts on April 9 and continues until June 11.
In each session, the group focuses on a section of the current book (Uprooting Racism – How White People Can Work for Racial Justice), by Paul Kivel, New Society Publishers. This book examines allyship, history, institutional racism, multiculturalism, and the dynamics of racism. Discussions on materials, concerns, insights, and questions are encouraged.
Come join us as we explore this important topic.
