Basic Guitar Class

Learn to accompany singing with guitar.

Have you ever watched someone play guitar and sing in a small group, around a campfire, for a small party, or just in the home for family and thought, “I would like to be able to do that.” You may be able to more easily than you might think. The guitar can be an extremely challenging instrument to play, if one wants to play challenging music. If, however, you want to simply play songs with three or four chords so that you or others can sing, for instance:

• This Land Is Your Land
• Where Have All The Flowers Gone
• Feliz Navidad
• I’ll Fly Away
• Will The Circle Be Unbroken

Or hundreds of other songs, you may be able to with a little instruction and some regular practice.

I will be offering a class of 8 weeks on Tuesdays from noon to 1:30 p.m., starting January 13 and ending March 10 (no class March 3).

If you already have a guitar, please email me to indicate your intent to attend the classes. I will be happy to make arrangements to inspect a guitar if you already have one.
