Chasing Carbon Zero – Social Justice April Documentary

Event details

April is Earth Month, so our documentary film on April 17th is about the climate challenge.

“Chasing Carbon Zero” will be screened in the lobby on Friday, April 17th at 4:00 PM. All are invited to join the Green Team for a very thought-provoking afternoon.

“Facing the Climate Challenge” is a film with three NOVA programs from PBS. In November we watched the first segment titled “Arctic Sinkholes” and in January, we screened “Weathering the Future.” To celebrate Earth Day, we will screen the third episode, “Chasing Carbon Zero.”

The US in 2022 set an ambitious climate change goal: net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. And to achieve that, slash emissions in half by 2030. Is it possible? Is it possible with the current administration? What kind of technology would it take? Meet scientists and engineers who are convinced we can achieve carbon zero in time to avoid the biggest impacts of climate change.
