Transitional Meals

The Transitional Meal Team (typically seven to nine volunteers) of UUFVB shops, cooks, and delivers an average of fifty meals to three sites in Vero Beach: Camp Haven, James Arthur Court, and Naomi’s Place. The residents at these locations are generally formerly homeless individuals, veterans, low-income residents, Section 8 recipients, or individuals with disabilities.

We are able to offer meals to two locations that have a common area for dining together and one smaller site where individual meals are delivered.

The Meals Team is grateful to all the volunteers who sign up for monthly tasks. Meals are prepared and delivered on the fourth Tuesday of each month in the afternoon, with cooking beginning at 1:15 PM in the UU kitchen.

Please consider supporting this UU mission by signing up to help.

The Transitional Meal Program is supported by the Sharing of Substance offering, which is collected on the second Sunday of each month and shared with UUFVB’s contribution to the Indian River Food Pantry.
