The Spirituality of Adventure or “There is No Fool Like an Old Fool!”

As many of you know, on April 23rd, I will be heading out from Costa Mesa, California on my bike with some 20 other “Fast America” riders crossing 3,400 miles of the United States in 30 days, ending in Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts on May 25…hopefully raising $50,000 for the United Against Poverty Agency here in Vero Beach. This will be my fifth cross-country bicycle adventure in the last 12 years, and I wanted to use this Sunday to explore “The Spirituality of Adventure.” There is something-even as I age-that calls from deep within me to attempt these demanding bike rides…and I want to explore how and why adventure spiritually and emotionally calls to all of us.
