Positive Aging

In his wonderful book “Seven Strategies for Positive Aging,” educational psychologist Dr. Robert Hill (who is a colleague of my psychologist brother, Dr. James Alexander, at the University of Utah), coins the phrase “Positive Aging.” This is my first sermon since I entered my 70th year late May, and so the reality of getting older is very much on my heart and mind right now. Despite all its very real vicissitudes, the good news is that as we get older there is much within our spiritual, emotional, and even physical control that can make our later years meaningful and rewarding. regardless of how old you are, do be with us as I reflect on positive aging.
