Our Complicated Relationship with Christianity

Unitarian Universalists have an incredibly complicated and challenging relationship with Christianity, the faith tradition from which we came more than 500 years ago. This became powerfully apparent to me this year here in our Vero Beach congregation when anxieties rose as we rented our UU facility to a conservative (and rapidly growing) Christian Mega church, Christ Fellowship. I want to reflect this Sunday on our ambivalent relationship with the faith tradition from which we came…including an honest look at our occasional “Christian-phobia.”
