Rev. Scott Alexander and Bobby Kilgore
Many live with chronic pain. I have chronic back and neck pain, and was recently diagnosed with a degenerative spinal condition that will progress with age. This unwelcome news has me (and our ministerial intern Bobby Kilgore who lives with chronic pain in her back from injuries suffered during military years) thinking about the spiritual and emotional side of living with pain. Sometimes we must resort to opioids for chronic pain, but experts say there are non-pharmaceutical ways to successfully manage and live with pain.
