Financial Support:
Ministry at UUFVB is funded by generous contributions from members and friends. Each spring, members and friends make a “pledge,” committing to the Fellowship how much money they will contribute to the coming fiscal year beginning July 1. Based on these “pledges,” the Fellowship plans its budget for programs and staff for the year.

Members make individual decisions about how much they will pledge, based on the role the Fellowship plays in their life, and their personal financial situation. During the year, members and friends may increase or decrease their pledge amount as personal circumstances change. When new members join, they are asked to make an initial pledge for the remainder of the fiscal year.

All the activities you see described on this website are funded by these collective pledge dollars. (The building is funded by other sources.) By working and contributing together, members and friends provide the resources which frame and enhance their religious experience at UUFVB.

Other Ways to Support the Ministry:

Fundraisers:
Annually, the Fellowship holds an Auction where members and friends bid on events, services and items. This is a fun and easy way to contribute. The Fellowship also sells Treasure Coast Enjoyment Books with coupons for 2 for 1 meals, items, and services. Also, throughout the year, various fundraisers are combined with social events.

Bequests and Memorial Gifts:
Whether you are writing your first Will or updating an existing one, we hope you include a gift to UUFB in your plans. You can use your Will to give a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or a specific item, such as real estate. No gift is too small. Email us if you would like to receive sample bequest language to include in your will or to share with your attorney.

Endowment Fund:
One of the best ways to support UUFVB long-term financial health is to contribute to the endowment fund, which is overseen by an Endowment Committee. The fund guidelines require that the church use yearly interest distributions for congregation-initiated proposals for capital improvements of the building and grounds and community outreach projects. The church does not use the fund for operating expenses. More information about the endowment fund is available at the church office.

We Appreciate Your Monetary Gifts:
When you donate to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Vero Beach (UUFVB), you practice generosity and support the work we do to create love, justice, and peace in our immediate community and in the world. We receive no financial support beyond that offered by members and friends You can donate several ways.
