The Social Justice Steering Committee is offering a screening of this 2002 British Broadcasting Corporation documentary about the rise of psychoanalysis as a powerful means of persuasion for both governments and corporations.  The film is in four episodes; each hour-long segment will be shown in the lobby on four consecutive Tuesday nights followed by discussion.  The public is invited as well for this free event, so bring friends and neighbors.  No reservation is necessary.

From a review by Sandsquish:  Documentarian Adam Curtis’ bewildering collage of film clips, pop-music snippets, and interviews helps portray the slightly absurd and surreal cynicism and manipulation practiced by the 20th-century’s supposedly enlightened business and political leaders.
