Our workshops continue examining the essays from the “1619 Project,” the major initiative of The New York Times observing the anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. Please sign up at the Social Justice Information Table on Sunday mornings and pick up the packet of readings.  You need not have attended prior workshops to participate in this interesting discussion led by Andrew Sorbo.

These essays place the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of the story we tell ourselves about who we are as Americans.
