Sisters in Spirit

The next meeting of Sisters in Spirit will be held on Monday January 12 at 7pm in the UUFVB lobby. Nancy Nordyke-Shelley will be leading us in a discussion about Sexuality, Women & Aging. Sexual health remains vital for quality of life, with many older adults remaining sexually active. Ageism often leads to overlooking older adults’ sexual needs. Education helps combat myths, improve health outcomes, and fosters empowering & positive experience. Join us in taking an “intimacy test” and another interactive exercise.

Nancy has degrees in anthropology, sociology & psychology and taught psychology courses at community colleges in California for seven years. She has been an instructor for the Adult Literacy Center in Orlando, taught classes in organizing for UUJF, and has been a speaker for the Progressive Alliance of Central Florida.

Sisters in Spirit generally meets monthly. All women should feel free to come once, or every month. Invite a friend! There is no charge to attend, but a free will offering will be taken.
