The mission of the UUFVB membership committee is to invite, welcome, educate and encourage all newcomers to be part of our loving and diverse community.

Welcome Visitors and Newcomers

We look forward to meeting you and sharing with you our excitement for our liberal religious community. We hope you will attend Sunday Service to become familiar with our Fellowship and meet its members at the Coffee Hour following the service. Please make yourself known to the Welcome Table as you enter the building. You may request a newsletter, a packet of information about our Fellowship and a name tag. If you just want to sit through a Sunday service to gain an impression first, that is also encouraged and welcomed.

  • Question and Answer gathering every third Sunday after service
  • Starting Our Journey classes– focus on our personal spiritual journey, Unitarian Universalist history as well as the shared journey that our members travel together.
  • Regular Member (sole membership at UUFVB)
  • Associated member (primary membership at another UU congregation)
  • Friend (enjoy congregational life without the responsibilities of membership)
  • Make a public commitment that this community is important to you and your
    spiritual development.
  • Stretch yourself through leadership, service and full participation in the life of this congregation.
  • Have the privilege of voting at official Fellowship meetings.
  • A yearly financial contribution of record within your ability.
  • Expectation that you will attend worship services.
  • Be a steward of the congregation.
  • Honor and celebrate diversity.
  • Serve others.

Members come from all faiths and beliefs. We are a community that accepts all, recognizing the worth and dignity of every person. We hope you will join us in person or via the internet. At UUFVB you will be cared for, and at times, care for others.
