Fair Trade Corner

Fair Trade items are on sale from 11:00 AM to noon after each Sunday service.  Comfortable, environmentally responsible hemp tee shirts are now available as well as many new items from One World Imports:  African bone bracelets, tagua earrings, Haitian oil drum sculptures, and Indonesian musical instruments and wind chimes. A recent shipment from Women of the Cloud Forest includes earrings and pins using Costa Rican seeds and beads.  Soft, hand-woven scarves from Ecuador are another new item from INTOO: Illuminating Nations Through Offering Opportunity, a Fair Trade Federation member.  You can also shop for fairly traded items such as coffee, tea, chocolate bars, soup mixes, clothing, jewelry, and accessories made by women's cooperatives, as well as the ever popular Elli Pooh paper products!   To learn more about Fair Trade, click here >>>  Fair Trade

Sharing of Sustenance Sunday is every second Sunday of each month

Our Fellowship has been observing Sharing of Sustenance Sunday since 1989.  This long-standing tradition is one of many ways our Fellowship reaches out to the broader community of Indian River County. In 2009, we donated 1,521 pounds of food.

Please bring non-perishable food or money for the Indian River Food Pantry.  You can also bring disposable diapers of any size to assist a loving family in Sebastian that fosters HIV positive babies.  New or gently used clothing, toys, and books are also collected for farm worker families.

Toiletries for the residents of the Homeless Family Center are collected continually as are craft items for teachers through the Reuse Exchange program.  Place toiletries in the blue bin near door B.  Craft items go in the large gray bin also near door B.  Thank you for your many contributions to our social justice ministries!
